Despite the fact that Virginia has none of the 40 reported targeted House races in 2008, since Christmas my inbox has gotten a lot of email from the DCCC. Every day at least one digital letter has arrived from someone different about different subjects but all with the same general message: give now to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Dear Shawn, I am writing to wish you Happy New Year and to personally thank you for your support this year. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of Democrats like you. As we celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, let us reflect on why it is critical that we work so hard to take America in a New Direction.
In 2008, we will have almost 75 Republican seats in play, and 30 vulnerable Democrats to protect.
