Last month, right-wing talk radio host Rush Limbaugh went on Fox News to talk about President Obama’s plans to turn our country around. Rush said: “Why would I want that to succeed? I don’t believe in that. I know that’s not how this country is going to be great in the future, it’s not what made this country great. So I shamelessly say, no, I want him to fail.”
It seems that Rush’s friends in Congress have taken his words to heart — saying “NO” to plans that will help America’s struggling families at every opportunity they can.
They said “NO” to creating or saving 3.5 million jobs. They said “NO” to investing in education, transportation, health care, and clean energy. And they said “NO” to providing tax relief to 95 percent of working Americans.
Of course, the vast majority of Americans aren’t saying “NO.” We all want the President to succeed — because if President Obama’s policies fail, America fails.
Republican leaders need to make a choice: to stand with the extreme views of their party’s de facto leader, Rush Limbaugh, or work for the solutions and change that Americans overwhelmingly voted for in November.
Make sure they know about that choice. Watch our new ad and send it to your friends:
