Will Virginia’s Primary Election Date be August 23rd for 2011

HB 1507 has passed both the House of Delegates and the State Senate and only needs the Governors signiture to make the date official … it will move the usual June primary date to August 23, 2011 …  the complicated redistricting process and the need to specify deadlines for filings make the Gov’s signiture almost certain … it’ll also make for a shortened general election season
