You have one of the best sites on WordPress. I’m very grateful that you’ve taken the time to write, in order to share with us, your readers.
I spent almost three decades as a Humanitarian Aid Relief Coordinator & Educator for First Responders. This took me into numerous nations across four continents. From the time I was old enough to vote I was a Republican…no longer!
So dedicated was I, that I arranged furloughs around the primaries and often times the elections. However, after coming back home(2005) to a nation that’s hardly recognizable…I was astonished. Our nations programs to benefit the poor, our economy, natural disaster victims, environment…and a dozen other things have all been gutted!
It’s as if the present administration has fallen asleep at the wheel and fiddled while Rome burned! Then I was told VP Cheney thinks he’s not part of the Exec. Branch of Gov’t????
Katrina vicitms…still not in homes, California on fire, here in the Midwest…we’re being flooded out, our own citizens going without health care… And we are spending BILLIONS in Iraq & Afghanistan. How about spending some of that money to rebuild our own nation FIRST!
Iraq is one place I was located for eight months…up until mid-2004. There were two other Help Agencies there…there was NO conflict between the help groups. It took only a short time to see, we have no business being there.
Sorry for ‘venting’…yet, after I read what you’d written…I knew you’d understand.
Kindest Regards,
Michelle
