The Second Presidential Debate is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 starting at 9:00pm EST from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The moderator is scheduled to be 68 year old moderate Republican, Thomas John Brokaw the former anchor of NBC Nightly News.
With the GOP presidential candidate having lost the first debate to Democratic candidate Barack Obama, and another humiliating loss coming at the hands of Senator Joe Biden during last weeks VP debate, I anticipate the McCain campaign’s going to place the negative attacks front and center tomorrow night.
It will also be interesting to see how the GOP Candidate will do this time because he has repeatedly pushed holding town hall style forums.
On the plus side the Republican moderator has fairly clear instructions and, “… will call on members of the audience (and draw questions from the internet). Each candidate will have 2 minutes to respond to each question. Following those initial answers, the moderator will invite the candidates to respond to the previous answers, for a total of 1 minute, ensuring that both candidates receive an equal amount of time to comment. In the spirit of the Town Hall, all questions will come from the audience (or internet), and not the moderator.”
