200 Years After Abraham Lincoln’s Birth “We Must Think Anew, And Act Anew”

Today marks the 200th birthday of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, who led our nation through a chapter in American history that should forever be remembered by our Nation … before signing the Emancipation Proclamation, President Lincoln sent a message to Congress … ‘The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew…and then we shall save our country.” …  200 years after Lincoln’s birth our Nation faces a massive economic crisis of historic magnitude that Lincoln could not have begun to imagine … but his words still ring true
