Jobs to Rebuild Infrastructure:  Creates numerous jobs in the short-term by providing needed funds to update our nation’s aging roads and bridges … creates jobs for the construction of commuter and light rail transit systems … creates hundreds of thousands of jobs by investing in projects that will clean our nation’s water, strengthen flood control, and restore our environment.

Tax Cuts to Encourage Job Creation:  Gives incentives for businesses to create new jobs by offering tax credits to companies that hire recently discharged unemployed veterans and young adults who have finished school and have had trouble finding work .. and Energy tax incentives will encourage the creation of ‘green’ jobs in the energy efficiency industry.

Assistance to Workers Impacted by the Recession: Provides funding to help unemployed Americans find jobs, including funding for job training, summer jobs for youth, Vocational Rehabilitation State Grants, matching unemployed individuals with job openings, and placing low-income older Americans in community service

Energy Industry: Creates hundreds of thousands of jobs by investing in new energy initiatives and energy efficiency measures.

Science and Technology Industry: Expands jobs at agencies conducting critical research, including biomedical research into widespread diseases the National Institutes of Health, and climate change research at NASA.
