Obama to Choose Supreme Court Replacement for Moderate Republican Justice Souter

Note:  President Obama said today, “I will seek somebody who shares my respect for constitutional values on which this nation was founded, and who brings a thoughtful understanding of how to apply them in our time” … here’s a short video of him during the campaign …

Potential replacements being mentioned already (being shown here) : 

Sonia Sotomayor, 2nd Circuit appellate judge originally appointed by President George H.W. Bush in 1992 and elevated to the Court of Appeals by Bill Clinton. She would be the first Hispanic U.S. Supreme Court justice. (CNN, AP, WSJ, LA Times, SCOTUSblog, BLT, HuffPost)
