Virginia Law Has 81 mph Reckless Driving Limit

The Washington Post’s Dr. Gridlock ran an article recently about how Virginia will be raising speed limits on 597 miles of highways to 70 mph.  (click) … one item for every driver to remember … “The law also reduced to just 11 mph the margin between the legal speed limit and a reckless driving citation with a mandatory court appearance, prohibitive fines and possible jail time. Virginia law defines any driver going 81 mph or more as reckless.”
